Pinot Noir

Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Super aromatic and floral, with blackberry and raspberry leaf, fleshy berries and crunchy cherries. This aromatic profile is derived from three clones: Morey St Denis clones 114 & 115 (made with 30% whole bunch) and the Australian MV6 clone (made with 80% whole bunch). Though there’s a lot of whole-bunch treatment in its production, it’s doesn’t end up being the most distinctive characteristic of the wine. What shines through is the incredible fruit characteristics snaking out of your glass and into your mouth: raspberry, cherry, cranberry, and pomegranate set off by secondary characters of charred meat and earth...

Yarra Valley, Victoria.  In terms of flavour profile, the MV6 clone is famous for the deep cherry and dark strawberry characters with hints of spice. Firm tannins but more back palate orientated. Unlike the Pommard clone that expresses meaty, gamey characters, the MV6 clone has a more savoury tone to its flavour profile. Dried fruits, herbs and spice. Yarra Valley, Victoria. In terms of flavour profile, the Pommard clone is famous for the firm, powerful and dusty tannins. It is a hard push to say they are elegant; a more appropriate descriptor would be powerful. Meaty flavours of smoke and game, earthy characters with notes of soil, with subtle under tones of Pinot’s typical red fruit flavours of plum and cherry but with a firmer edge. Yarra Valley, Victoria. The terroir of these vines allows for the slow ripening fruit to display powerful red fruits on the front pallet. This wine isn't finished there though as ample structure in the form of acid and silky tannin provides great length and intensity all the way to the back pallet...

Henty, Victoria.  Light cherry red colour. Smells of red cherry, beetroot and smoke with no secondary characters present yet. Attack is light yet muscular with sweet cherry fruit, fine tannins, well integrated French oak and natural lively acid.

Tamar Valley, Tasmania. This wine has beautiful dark cherry, raspberry and strawberry fruit characters with some liquorice and spice characters adding complexity. The palate has fine silky tannins great mid palate richness and well-balanced acidity...

Tamar Valley, Tasmania. This is a beautiful, more structured style of Pinot noir. The complex and fragrant nose shows dark cherry and plum fruit characters, with some attractive spice and earthy characters. The palate is firm and savoury as a result of the whole bunch fermentation and new oak, but has lovely dark fruit characters which will continue to open up over time...
