Showing great intensity, this wine displays a fresh, clean, vibrant nose of delicate white florals, white peach and elegant spice upfront with a complex underlying array of lemon sherbert and creamy stone fruits.
An elegant, medium bodied wine with nice tight, clean, citrus fruit flavours. Delicate oak spice adds complexity combined with a fresh, zesty acidity and white floral flavours gives great length and persistence.
The vineyard was purchased in 1994. The location was chosen after a long search for a block which could take advantage of the cooling breezes from the Southern Ocean, Indian Ocean and Geographe Bay and with ideal soils to support viticulture. The block is about 3km from the coast in the Wilyabrup Valley, known to produce some of the greatest wines in Australia.
