This Pinot Noir has elegance and finesse, but still with the rich fruit backbone. The ripe vintage fruit is obvious on the nose and the palate along with that complexity and funkiness that comes from the wild yeast. 35% new French oak ties the fruit, the funkiness, and the fine tannins nicely together.
It is recommend that this wine be decanted. Apsley Gorge's Pinots are known world wide as some of Australia's best!
