Paringa Estate
Lindsay McCall’s winemaking legacy began in 1984 with the purchase of a 10 acre derelict orchard. Subsequently, access to a further 45 acres of vineyards has increased the estate’s source of quality fruit. Having received numerous awards over the years, Lindsay’s hard work culminated in 2007 with Paringa Estate being awarded James Halliday’s ‘Winery of the Year’.

WINEMAKING

At the winery, fruit was whole bunched pressed to a stainless steel tank, where around 67% underwent cool fermentation (12°C to 15°C) for retention of fruit aromatics and freshness whilst the remaining 33% was barrel fermented in old oak for texture and complexity.

TASTING NOTES
