This is a style of Riesling which is very popular in Germany known as Halbtrocken (Half Dry). It is a particularly good accompaniment to spicy dishes as the slight sweetness in the wine balances the spices and heat. This is a very popular style, and each year we fine tune the balance between flavour, acid and sweetness.
Tasting notes
Aromatic floral nose. Crisp citrus acidity and rich sweet fruit flavours on the middle palate with a clean dry finish.
Serve with
Great with spicy thai, chinese, mexican or moroccan flavours where the sweetness of the wine balances out the heat.
Cellar for
The balance of acid and sugar in this wine means it is perfect to drink and enjoy now. If kept for longer than two years the wine will start to taste sweeter due to a drop in acidity.
