Location of Gunderloch
The Gunderloch estate is located in the small village of Nackenheim. This town is situated on the banks of the River Rhine at the foot of the ROTHENBERG. This is the famed hillside vineyardsite which our town is known for.
Tasting Notes
The middle terrace of the Nackenheim ROTHENBERG is very steep. Here you can find a small amount of weather beaten iron and slate based soil. In some parts of the vineyard, the roots must seek nutrients by reaching up to 50 meters into the soil. A unique condition for our dry Grand Cru Riesling. It perfectly matches with white meat with a spicy sauce, meals with mushrooms, and grilled salmon.
