Quartier is a word which means neighbourhood in French. The fruit for this wine is sourced from a neighbouring vineyard in Red Hill.
Winemaking
100% destemmed and fermented in open vats without yeast or malolactic inoculation. Matured for 10 months in French oak (12% new) before bottling.
Tasting Note
Ruby hue. A youthful nose of raspberry, black cherry, crushed dried herbs and undergrowthy spices. In the mouth, the wine is sapid and savoury yet soft with bright and perfumed red primary fruits.
Drink
Best enjoyed whilst youthful, however this wine will reward careful mid-term cellaring.
