Although the Mangan Vineyard had become ten years old in 2006 and was clearly producing very high quality fruit from its gravelly soils, it was becoming increasingly evident that the characteristics of that fruit differed from that grown on the more loamy soils of the Cullen Vineyard.

Thus, in 2007, Cullen Wines decided to produce separate blends of the two great Bordeaux white varieties from their Mangan and Cullen Vineyards.
