All Saints Sangiovese Cabernet 2009

The Range
These sophisticated, premium blends have plenty to offer the discerning consumer looking to try something new, yet approachable. Fruit driven with excellent balance and structure, these ready-to-drink styles are wonderful on their own and the perfect partner for a wide range of cuisines.

The Wine
We blend the best local Sangiovese(70%) with pristine parcels of premium Cabernet (30%) to weave vibrant notes of cassis and blackcurrant through the savoury undertones of the Sangiovese. Full of ripe fruit with hints of black cherry, herbal notes and fine supple tannins, this smooth mediumbodied red is ready to enjoy.

Variety
Sangiovese is Italy's most planted grape variety. Generally bright, spicy and lifted aromatically, often suggesting plummy, cherry, raspberry and strawberry fruits mixed with hints of roses and violets. Cabernet Sauvignon is originally from the Bordeaux region of France where it is a major component of traditional Claret. Here in Australia it is grown in most regions, ranging in from a fullbodied soft red in hot areas to a quite lean and tannic styles from cooler spots.

Tasting Notes

Cellaring
Not destined for the cellar, this is a wine whose time is now.
