Longview Vineyard is proudly family owned and strictly estate grown.
2017 was a vintage with very good yields and amazing fruit concentration. A small selection of our vineyard is planted with the famous Rosé clone of Nebbiolo (CVT CN111) which is ideally suited to producing fantastic dry Rose’s (or Rosato in Italian). With a wonderful salmon, pink colour and slightly orange hue the 2017 Nebbiolo Rosato shows lifted orange peel, ripe peach and musk aromas. The palate has mouth filling maraschino cherry, pink grapefruit and musk with crisp acidity and a long fresh finish. Unmistakably Nebbiolo.
The 2017 Nebbiolo Rosato is sourced entirely from Longview’s single-vineyard at Macclesfield, Adelaide Hills. The fruit was hand-picked, then chilled to 10˚C. It was then crushed, de-stemmed and the free run juice separated and fermented for this light rose style. Bentonite fining and coarse earth filtering ensures a clear, bright pink finish.
