WINEMAKER Drew Tuckwell
A single vineyard wine from the Nashdale area. Harvesting is determined as much by acid maturity as flavour development. The juice is settled, aromatic yeast used for ferment, ferment stopped with some residual sugar (10.5gL) to achieve palate balance. Bottled early to retain freshness and delicacy.
Excellent aromatic intensity with typical riesling fragrance of limes, frangapani floral & a touch of tropicals. Pure fruit definition on the palate with terrific intensity and richness. The residual sweetness gives body and weight to the mid-palate and the acidity cleans up the very long finish so that it is not sweet to taste. It’s a classic example of the fine line of acid and richness producing a scintillating balance on the palate.
Up to 10 years from vintage. Will gain richness and complexity.
