Campbells Isabella Rare Rutherglen Topaque 375ml

Campbells Isabella Rare Rutherglen Topaque 375ml

Rutherglen, Victoria.  Deep mahogany brown, with olive hues. Bouquet: A combination of malt and honey, with hints of raisins and the unmistakable scent of tea leaves, which is the hallmark of Rutherglen Tokay. There is a real lusciousness and weight on the palate with full, mellow honeyed flavours, lingering complex rancio characters, and drying tannins on the finish to balance the sweetness and prevent it from cloying.

"Our Isabella is classified “Rare” - it is the pinnacle, the richest, most complex and complete wine."
- Colin Campbell

Maturation Fruit is left to ripen on the vine until as late as possible to ensure the necessary high degree of lusciousness. Juice is fermented for only a very short time before being fortified with neutral spirit and stored in oak to mature. Only the very best fruit from the finest vintages is used.

This wine may be enjoyed with coffee and petitsfours or rich Almond Butter Balls. However, to fully appreciate the rich complexity of this rare wine, we recommend enjoying it on its own.

Cellaring: No need for cellaring as the wine style is determined upon blending and will not improve in the bottle.

The Campbell’s are a fourth generation winemaking family dedicated to continuing a tradition begun in 1870, of producing premium quality wines that re
flect the distinctive characteristics of the Rutherglen region. Drawing on their intimate knowledge of the region the Campbells can ensure that they grow grapes of the highest quality. The result is traditional styles of wines with finesse and a subtle use of oak complementing the full fruit flavours.
