In keeping with their philosophy of sourcing grape varieties from the regions that they perform best, Maude obtain their Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris from Central Otago and Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough.
Tasting Notes
colour: Pale straw colour
nose: Youthful, vibrant Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Lime sherbet and floral aromas infuse with the lively grass and gooseberry characters.
palate: Lush, lively and fruit‐driven with flavours of gooseberries, lemon‐lime citrus, feijioa and a strong mineral or wet stone element. Natural fruit weight and texture with balanced acidity.
General
Machine harvested from two vineyards in the Wairau Valley of Marlborough, where the soil is free‐draining with a loam topsoil and stony silt underneath. Cool stainless steel fermentation. Filtered and bottled early to capture the vibrancy and essence of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
