Balgownie Estate's Yarra Valley vineyards were planted in 2003 to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the two varieties believed best suited to the region. New winemaker, Mark Lane, has instigated this first release Premium Cuvee Brut NV.
Tasting Notes
Bright & lifted aroma of citrus and new seasons apples with hints of guava and passionfruit. Lovely fine bead and an elegant crisp finish.
Fruit & Winemaking
Predominantly a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, 30% barrel fermented in old oak with the balance fermented in tank. Extended lees contact has provided hints of brioche.
Alcohol 12.5%.
