Origin: McLaren Vale is one of Australia’s premier wine regions. It has a Mediterranean climate making it ideal for growing grapes. The pristine coastline of SA is just minutes from our vineyards and the maritime influences of cool evening breezes and ancient limestone deposits in the soil are instrumental to the quality of fruit that we grow. Gemtree’s vineyards are farmed 100% biodynamically.

Nose: Dark cherry, Satsuma plums, currants, dark chocolate, liquorice, marshmallow and creamy vanillin oak.
Palate: A multi-dimensional, powerful wine that displays a diverse spectrum of flavours. The front palate
is rich and generous, dominated by dark fruits while the mid to back palate explodes with mulberry and raspberry conserve. The entire palate is perfectly balanced from start to finish and shows great poise and elegance with soft, velvety tannins. For a young wine this vintage has remarkable presence.
Oak:28 months in new French oak.
