Rocky Gully
Frankland River is one of the coolest wine-growing regions in Western Australia. It is situated far from population and industrial centres, has no major vine pests or diseases and offers a pristine, pollution free grape-growing environment. Onshore winds off the southern ocean and moderate summer temperatures provide optimum ripening conditions for grapes. Rocky Gully wines are made from traditional varieties with an individual approach to winemaking. Developed for the modern lifestyle, these wines are vibrant, fresh, easy drinking and food friendly.
Low yields and good natural acid retention, as a result of the cool Frankland River climate, provides a wine of freshness and style.
A bright and fresh coloured wine; figoa fruit notes and golden straw dustyness; slightly talky texture, with a fresh crisp fruit drive, this wine finishes with nice weight and focus.
Grapes for this Sauvignon Blanc are sourced of our organically certified vineyards. A cool ferment retains freshness and fruit focus.

COLOUR Vivid green and light gold straw
NOSE An enticing and morish bouquet of fresh citrus and passionfruit notes with an underlying minerally complexity.
PALATE The palate reflects that of the nose an appealingly fresh mix of citrus and passionfruit, giving it an abundance of fruit generosity and complexity. Nicely textured this wine shows balance and generosity retaining freshness and drinkability.

2010 VINTAGE An early bud burst due to the end of winter being warmer than normal the season progressed with mild conditions giving the vines good canopy cover and fruit set. Some cooler periods through the ripening period extended fruit hang time and resulted in intense and generously flavoured wine.
