Margaret River, Western Australia. Overt aromas of minerality, fresh herbs and citrus jump from the glass. The palate shows lemon sherbert, juniper and fresh peas. The impression is one of complexity and power, yet the wine is immediately approachable and drinkable. The natural crunchy acidity is balanced by a soft textural mouth-feel. This wine shows great fruit intensity, persistence and length of flavour. Pretty serious stuff for the wine buff and a great drink for those just looking for a glass of this classic Margaret River blend...
Yarra Valley, Victoria. A delicate, refreshing wine with a finely balanced acid structure and interesting textural notes, enabling greater length of flavours and freshness. A white wine that cries out for the start of Spring and the ensuing warmer months...
Martinborough, New Zealand. One of the most encouraging signs from the Alana vineyard and especially the Sauvignon Blanc is the consistency of fruit expression. This is highlighted by our attention to detail in the vineyard with cropping levels (approx 4 tonnes/acre), fruit exposure with leaf plucking and attention to high quality hand training during the growing season. The fruit handling with hand picking and whole bunch pressing allows the wine to be light and elegant; this pushes forward the mineral citrus expression of our place, and creates a style that works with food and bottle ages well.
Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Bright, pale with green hues. Vibrant aromatics, layered with spicy lemon grass, quince and citrus blossom. Clean, refreshing and stylish. Racy acid gives structure and length to the generous fruit driven palate. Strongly varietal with ripe lime, grapefruit and crisp pear...
Marlborough, New Zealand. Tropical island fruits, melon, guava, lemon, peach and passionfruit with Marlborough famous grassy freshness.
