Airlie Bank is a lightly-oaked, fruit-driven range produced from entirely Yarra Valley fruit. Classically cool-climate in nature these wines show strong varietal qualities. They are produced for everyday drinking or medium term cellaring.
Winemaking
The 2009 Airlie Bank Chardonnay was produced from 100% Yarra Valley fruit. The grapes were crushed, racked and then gently pressed prior to fermentation. A portion of the juice was then
transferred to seasoned French oak for fermentation & maturation. The balance remained in tank to preserve the primary fruit characters.
