Airlie Bank is a lightly-oaked, fruit-driven range produced from entirely Yarra Valley fruit. Classically cool-climate in nature these wines show strong varietal qualities. They are produced for everyday drinking or medium term cellaring.
WinemakingThe 2009 Airlie Bank Shiraz
Viognier is produced from 100% Yarra Valley fruit. Both varieties were crushed and de-stemmed before being
co-fermented in static fermenters. A small portion of Viognier (less than 3%) was used to lift perfume and build complexity. After gentle pressing the wine was transferred to a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels for 12 months maturation.
