Arakoon aspire to make elegant, restrained and sophisticated wines that will complement food, as they believe that good wine should be drunk with good food (and good company!). However, the grapes they obtain and convert into wine vary greatly from vintage to vintage.
One of a set of subregional Vales reds from this producer ranging from an excitingly juicy Clarendon Shiraz to this coastal vineyard version that’s highly aromatic, full of summery fruit shed and dusty bush-track smells, followed by gorgeous, ripe-plum flavours, lifted in the palate with a bright structure and fresh finish.
