WineSeek Tasting invitation

An invitation to the first Wineseek tasting of the Year.
Tuesday evening 25th February between 5.30pm and 8pm at the Menzies Foundation 210 Clarendon Street East Melbourne.

I have vigneron Michael Warren, owner of Badgers Brook in the Yarra Valley attending to show us his pinot noir and pinot gris.
Michael also happens to run a wholesale wine company and his portfolio includes many of Australia’s and New Zealand’s finest wines.
I have picked out his best offerings and come up with a spectacular line up for you to taste.

Taste some seriously fantastic shiraz /syrah, chardonnay, riesling, sauvignon blanc, pinot noir and gris plus a couple of wonderful museum release wines.

Dalwhinnie Shiraz 2010 – super shiraz from a great vintage in the area.
Pyrenees Central Victoria
Sanguine Estate Shiraz 2010 – as above, outstanding!
Heathcote Central Victoria
Henry’s Drive Shiraz 2012 and Cabernet 2012 – two great value wines, both class acts for under $20.
Padthaway SA
Crossroads Winemakers Selection Hawkes Bay Gimblett Gravels Syrah 2012 – elegant, white pepper, fine grain tannins, exceptionally good.
Hunters Chardonnay 2013 – wonderful, and for the price neigh on unbelievable.
Both sensational new imports from NZ
Pauletts Riesling 2013 – an wonderful riesling from one of the Clare’s stalwarts.
Clare Valley SA
Matakana Sauvignon Blanc 2013 – a super new savvy from a very old winery.
Another new Kiwi arrival to our shores
Michael’s Pinot Noir 2012 and Pinot Gris 2013 – you will not find Yarra Valley wines of this quality for the price anywhere else.
Plus a couple of stupendous museum releases from Tahbilk.

All wines at super prices on the tasting evening.
Tasty nibbles as always to accompany the wines.
