A memorable wedding.
Post our Sydney Road tour and afternoon siesta we frocked and suited up before heading to Matteo’s Restaurant in North Fitzroy for a friend’s wedding.
After a beautiful civil service we had a wonderful celebration, the company, the food and wine were sensational. Have been to a few weddings over the years and wedding reception food can often be a little underwhelming.
The job the Matteo people did with the food was the best I have imbibed, there were a number of choices of entree and main dishes available to choose from.
I had a Japanese seafood plate to start and slow braised beef cheek as a main followed by the la dolce vita of three small desserts.
I think the highlight however was the fish main which was black cod that I managed to steal a taste from my partner who was eulogising about the dish.
A gathering of friends for this a very special occasion was made all the more memorable by Matteo and his staff.
